The Holocaust

This month I have been watching and studying a number of films around the holocaust. Learning of the cruelty and the facts surrounding the 3rd reich. Shindler's list. A small light. Jarring depictions of what humanity Is capable of with poisoned Idelaogies. One of the later scenes of a small light - a series depicting the Intricaties of the people who protected Anne Frank and her family - when they found the secret door - this will stay with me forever - because they didn't have a rug hiding the door resulted In the deaths of multiple human beings. Another film Jojo rabbit - hard to watch at first thinking It was making light of the horrors of the holocaust - but redeemed through the transition and overall message of right and wrong. 6 million human lives lost to a dictator who was rejected from art school. Oscar Shindler who ultimatedly saved 2000 human beings, resulting In 6000 lives In descendants today. The decisions we make every single day make a difference. Maybe not to this degree but we are living In a society thanks to those who stood up for what was right when everything In their world was wrong.
